Jesus lays out in Matthew a path of reconciliation between his followers.
Never has a process of reconciliation been put on such full display as in South Africa at the end of Apartheid. Led by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the TRC showed what it looks like for forgiveness to be the way of leadership.
I caution that some of the tales told here in this piece are very difficult to hear. And it shows that reconciliation is a process is far from easy. It will be met with resistance from all sides, as happened with the TRC.
But Bishop Tutu lays out that for Christians, this IS the way.
