Housing the Holy: A Room with a View (Love)

And Mary said,

“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant. Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name. ~ Luke 1:46-49

Could Mary see what was to unfold?

God certainly gave her a view of something. Gave her a prophetic voice to know what her blessed event would lead to.

She saw the bigness of it?

She understood that love itself was coming into the world.

But could she see that smallness of it?

Could she see the small moments of a mother's love for her tiny baby?

Was she able to see that love is both great...

And small?

She saw herself as small. Someone so small wouldn't normally be so called upon.

Someone so small wouldn't normally have something so big happen to them.

But Mary was ready. Mary was ready for the bigness of it all.

Ready for love that was bigger than all of creation.

Love come down! Amen
