(Jesus) was praying in a certain place, and after he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.” He said to them, “When you pray, say:
Father, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins,
for we ourselves forgive everyone indebted to us.
And do not bring us to the time of trial.” ~ Luke 11:1-4
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done.
Come now.
Come here.
Help me to see that your Kingdom is not a far away heaven in the sky.
But a way of being that is here.
Is meant to be shared now.
Is meant to be lived in abundance.
It is not my way.
It is not my Kingdom.
It is your way of drawing us together.
Help me to see that your Kingdom is the way to Kin-dom.
That your Kin-dom is meant for us all.
That we are children together. That it is your Kingdom that makes us one.
