The early church had to learn early on how to break open wide the doors of community. Table fellowship had to expanded because there were no insiders and no outsiders at God's table.
There ARE no insiders or outsiders at God's table.
One of my favorite Christian artists is Nichole Nordeman and my favorite song by her is called "Please Come," a gorgeous reminder that God's table is big and wide enough for us all. (and a note about the video...when you don't see a picture at the beginning, it isn't you! The feed is black while she is speaking and then the camera comes on when she starts singing.
